About Andrew

A qualified teacher and music specialist

Andrew is a QTLS-accredited teacher and music specialist with extensive whole-class teaching experience across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, alongside genuine secondary classroom experience.

He currently works as a visiting music specialist for the North Tyneside Music Education Hub, delivering curriculum music lessons across multiple primary schools — planning and teaching rhythm, listening, composition and performance in a way that keeps pupils engaged and building real skills.

Alongside this, Andrew teaches private lessons for children from complete beginner through to confident intermediate playing, and works with longer-term players who feel stuck or want to finally understand the theory behind what they play. The aim is simple: clearer understanding, better playing, and music that stays enjoyable.

Online lessons are available over WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams or FaceTime, making it easy to learn from home using familiar technology. Lessons are flexible and convenient, with timings arranged to work around you. For availability, prices or any questions about lessons, just send an email.
